Matthew Garson

for Nether Providence second ward commissioner

Matt Garson resides in Nether Providence's 2nd Ward on Avonbrook Road in Wallingford Hills.  He is married (Kellie) and a father of two energetic young daughters (Madeline and Charlotte) who attend Wallingford Elementary School.  Matt has a varied background both in business and in the law.  He is a graduate of Rutgers University's School of Business and worked in accounting for Bloomberg LP in New York City before heading to Villanova University's School of Law.  He is a shareholder with Lavin, O'Neil, Cedrone & DiSipio in Center City Philadelphia and maintains his law practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. 

Matt is running as a first-time candidate, but he is no stranger to local politics which he has been involved in since moving to Nether Providence.  Most recently, Matt is coming off a successful season coaching his daughter's basketball team in the Nether-Swarthmore league. 

Matt is committed to fiscal responsibility and transparency in government.  He is an effective communicator, will be an advocate for our residents, and will work to ensure that Nether Providence continues to be a beautiful place to call home.  Matt looks forward to a successful campaign as he makes his way across the 2nd Ward meeting with residents and discussing issues of concern.

Matt has received the endorsement of the current 2nd Ward Commissioner Bob Kenworthy and is endorsed by the Nether Providence Democratic Committee.
